WRITING YOUR FINAL REPORT

The team report should cover the following items:

  • Identify team name, team leader, team members, and CS or VCD
  • Introduction --- what is your project all about
  • Project Objectives --- what are your projects goals, problems to solve, and results to achieve.
  • Design --- what is the design solution and why does it achieve the objectives
  • Features --- describe the visual design aspects, architecture features, and programming techniques you wish to highlight
  • Implementation --- what coding and CS techniques are applied to achieve what goals. Include the following subsections:
    • PHP---What server-side php features are used to in your site? List those that are worth mentioning. The PHP code must be written by team members with comments to explain how the code works.
    • Database MySQL---What database features are used to support your site? List and explain. Also the MySQL related code must be written by team members with comments. List the database tables and how you designed them.
    • Audio and video---What A/V features does you site involve? How did you created the A/V content? How are they served in your pages?
    • Security---What user authentication and other security techniques are applied in your site? What code is involved? List the security related code with your own comments.
  • Website management, maintenance, update, and efficiency features, list and exaplain.
  • Roles of Members --- how was the team effort carried out, what role did each member play, how was cooperation achieved.
  • Activity log --- the log being kept all semester
  • Conclusion --- Assess team efforts, experiences, and lessons learned.

The individual report will be brief but needs to cover the following:

  • Identify the member, CS or VCD, graduate or ugrad
  • Describe how you fit in with the group, what are your duties and responsibilities, as assigned by the team.
  • Describe your efforts, what did you do for the project, what part of the design, of the coding, of communication with others, of collecting information, etc.
  • Describe what you learned : skills, what to do, not to do from this team project experience.
  • Conclusion --- Assess your individual efforts, results, experiences, and lessons learned.
