The Oral History Project

In its efforts to preserve the legacy of our community's history, the Kent Historical Society has been working for almost two decades to record and transcribe oral history interviews with its citizens. The information is available to the researchers at the society offices from 9-4 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Dr. William Wilen, a trustee of the the Kent Historical Society, currently coordinates the program. Beginning in 1999, the oral history program has been done in conjuction with students at Kent Roosevelt High School.
